As if being last in the league for goals scored isn't enough, without Martin Straka and Sean Avery, the gritty and speedy winger Ryan Callahan will be sidelined indefinitely with a grade 2 MCL sprain. An MRI revealed this today as he was hurt in yesterdays game against the Penguins. Along with the Callahan injury, Straka will be sidelined another month with his broken finger, and Sean Avery will be out for atleast the next 7 days, with his injured shoulder.
This is no help for the offense starved Rangers who have only scored 13 goals in the 8 games played this year, and have gone the last 181 minutes and 9 seconds without scoring a goal, despite leading the league in shots on goal.

I'm suprised you can even have enough in you to write about the Rangers now. I look at them and see a team lost. Only encouraging thing from the last game is I see slight hope of Jagr and Gomez figuring out how to work together.
