Gomez heating up. Its only a matter of consistency now

It took roughly 15 games, but it seems like Scott Gomez feels very comfortable now. He has recorded points in 5 consecutive games now. Gomez has 2 G and 4 A in the last 5 games. New York Rangers fans were growing frustrated early in the season, which is very common for NY fans in general. It doesn't matter which sport it is, if you don't produce the fans will make it miserable for you. Gomez has finally won over the fans of New York for now. He just has to stay consistent enough, and the NY fans will embrace him, like they do with players like Sean Avery, Jaromir Jagr and Henrik Lundqvist. These guys come out to play every night, and it may not show on the scorecard for some of the guys like the Hollwegs, and Orrs. As long as you show the effort and consistency you will be embraced.

Scotty Gomez has enough skill to make you stare in amazement with the preciseness of his passes, and his blazing speed. I'll be the first to tell you though, don't expect a ton of goals. 25-30 tops for Gomez. he hasn't netted more than 33 in any season of his career, but has piled up the assists, so it just evens itself out in the end. Gomez is a great addition to this team, because of the sharpshooters like Shanahan, and Avery, Jagr and Prucha. Just be patient Rangers fans, it looks like this is money well spent.
